TAMPA (Feb. 16, 2017) – After a four-game homestand, the Bulls will head to Louisiana for a road swing where they will face LSU Friday, Feb. 17 at 5 p.m., and Tulane Sunday, Feb. 19 at 2 p.m.

Sunday’s match against Tulane marks the first day of conference play for USF. The Bulls enter the weekend after taking three out of the last four matches including a 7-0 sweep of Stetson, and a 6-1 defeat over Troy.

Scouting the Opponent:

LSU is receiving votes in the latest ITA rankings, and boasts three players ranked in the top 65 for singles: No. 35 Jade Lewis and No. 65 Ryann Foster who are undefeated in singles, and No. 63 Joanna Valle Costa who saw her first loss last weekend against Natalie Suk of Ole Miss.

The Tigers have a 5-1 record, with their only loss being to No. 19 Ole Miss in the ITA Kick-off final. All of LSU’s wins so far this season have been shutouts.

The USF vs. Tulane matchup will be the Green Wave’s second conference matchup of their season, as they will face Houston Friday before they see the Bulls. Tulane is 8-2 with losses to Furman and Arizona. Last season the Bulls swept the Green Wave at home, 4-0.

The Bulls return home for a weekend off, and then host home matches for the entire month of March starting with North Florida on March 4.
