TAMPA, APRIL 19, 2017 – USF freshman Kyle Flexsenhar was named American Athletic Conference Men’s Golf Player of the Week on Wednesday after posting his best finish yet in the regular season finale.

Flexsenhar registered his first top-25 finish as a Bull by tying for 13th place out of 90 competitors with a 2-under score at NC State’s Wolfpack Spring Open. The Lake Mary, Fla., native followed up his 2-under 69 with a 70 in the final round to help boost the Bulls up three spots to fourth place on April 15. Check out the tournament recap HERE.

“I’m so proud of Kyle and the way he stepped in and led the team,” head coach Steve Bradley said. “He’s grown so much throughout the year.”

Flexsenhar and the Bulls will shoot for a three-peat at the three-day American Athletic Conference Championship that begins Sunday at Innisbrook Golf & Spa Resort in Palm Harbor, Fla.
