This Week: Head coach Charlie Strong and new head men's basketball coach Brian Gregory will meet Bulls fans on Wednesday at the USF Summer Stampede held at Ulele (1810 N Highland Ave.) in downtown Tampa. Learn more HERE.
Last Week: #BAYMADE: Inside USF Football, the University of South Florida football program's weekly television show, was selected as the winner of Outstanding Program Series award among more than 100 national entries at the 2017 SVG/NACDA College Sports Media Awards in Atlanta. Get more info HERE.
Need to Know: New group and flex ticket plans are available for upcoming 2017 season. Fans can purchase flex plans starting at $75. This will enable fans to pick their choice of any three home games and upgrade to premier seating for only $150. Last Week: Shortstop Kevin Merrell was named a third team All-American by D1Baseball.com and Perfect Game/Rawlings a week after he was named to Baseball America's All-America second team. Merrell became the third-highest drafted player in program history on June 12, when the Oakland A's selected him with the 33rd pick. Learn more HERE… Pitcher Phoenix Sanders was selected by the Tampa Bay Rays in the 10th round (289th overall) of the 2017 Major League Baseball Amateur Draft on June 13… Junior pitcher Joe Cavallaro was selected by the New York Mets in the 24th round of the MLB Amateur Draft on June 14… Pitcher Ryan Valdes was taken by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 33rd round of the MLB Amateur Draft on June 14.
Need to Know: Pitcher Shane McClanahan has been named to the Perfect Game/Rawlings College Freshman All-American first team after being selected to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association First Team. Learn more HERE.

Last Week: For the second straight year, the nearly 500 student-athletes comprising USF Athletics have posted a combined annual grade-point average above a 3.0. Final accounting of the 2016-17 academic period showed a 3.034 overall GPA for USF student-athletes, just shy of the record 3.085 mark for the 2015-16 academic period. Learn more HERE.

Last Week: Recent graduate Sasha Gozun won his second straight professional doubles title at the F18 ITF Futures doubles finals with partner Tomas Stillman (United States) in Buffalo, N.Y., on June 16. Also playing in the pro circuit, rising junior Alberto Barroso-Campos advanced to the F17 ITF Futures quarterfinals in Martos, Spain. Learn more HERE.
