TAMPA - University of South Florida head men's soccer coach George Kiefer added to an already strong recruiting class with the addition of two more student-athletes - Ricardo Webb and Christopher Waugh - who signed National Letters of Intent and will join the Bulls for the first time at the beginning of the 2010 season.

"We are very happy to add these two student-athletes to our program," said Kiefer. "They have both gained great international experience while competing with their country's national teams. We expect them to have a positive impact in our program both academically and athletically."

Webb, a 5-9, 155-pound midfielder from Clarendon, Jamaica, was a member of the Jamaican under 17, 20, and 23 National Teams. He captained Glenmuir High School in 2009, leading Glenmuir to the Dacosta Cup and All Island Championships in 2006. He also played with Portmore United Sr. Team in the Jamaican Premiere League and also represented the club at the U17 and 21 levels. Webb was also voted to the Jamaican School boys All-Star Team in 2009.

Waugh, who stands 5-9, and is a 160-pound forward from Portmore, Jamaica, attended Wolmer's High School and played his soccer for Real Mona FC. He was a member of the Jamaican under 17, 20, and 23 National Teams, and attended the Jamaican Senior National Team training camp in January 2010 while preparing for the team's international friendly against Canada.

Webb and Waugh join nine other players who will play for the Bulls this coming season. Earlier signees are: Luis Avila (Caracas, Venezuela), J.J. Bostic (Dunedin, Fla.), Brandon Curriston (Niceville, Fla.), Marius Krathe (Saltnes, Norway), Eric Oswald (Powell, Ohio), Leston Paul (Mayarao, Trinidad), T.J. Roehn (Tampa, Fla.), Ben Sweat (Palm Harbor, Fla.) and Shane Wixted (Melbourne Beach, Fla.).

USF will open its 2010 season with the first of three home exhibition games beginning on Aug. 18 against Jacksonville before facing cross-town rival Tampa on Aug. 21. The Bulls will then have a good test with their final preseason game of the year against national runner-up Akron on Aug. 28. USF will open the regular season on Sept. 1 against Florida Gulf Coast University.
