2012: The lefty started in 16 games during his final year as a Bull, pitching a team-high 95 innings...Ended the season leading the team and the BIG EAST conference in strikeouts with 110...Collected seven wins on the season with a final 2.75 ERA...Before the start of the 2012 BIG EAST Championships, the senior was named to the conference's first-team for his stellar performance during the regular season...Was named the BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week for the week of May 7th after his two-hit complete game shutout against St. John's in Queens to help lift his team to their only victory over the Red Storm...Recorded the lowest opposing batting average for any USF starter at .195...The senior picked up his final win of the season on May 11 when the Bulls hosted Connecticut for a meeting that was televised nationally on CBS College Sports...the lefty went eight innings, allowing just two runs off five hits.  

2011: Was named Preseason All Big East in February...Appeared in just two games before the LHP had to get Tommy John surgery...He started in the second game of the season against Florida (2/19)...Despite going 6.0 innings and allowing just six hits and two runs, it wasn't enough to get the senior a win...Pitched a total of 10 innings in just two games, allowing just eight hits and four runs only one of them earned...Had an impressive thirteen strikeouts in the ten innings he pitched before the surgery.

2010:
Went from walk-on and relative unknown to the Bulls No. 2 starter and one of the top pitchers in the BIG EAST Conference... Named to the 2010 All-BIG EAST Second Team ...  Paced the Bulls on the mound with a 2.40 ERA and a team-high eight wins in 14 starts ... Made his debut at Florida (2/21), going 6.0 innings, allowing three runs and scattering five hits ... Posted an impressive 16 strikeouts in his complete-game shutout against Cincinnati on 4/2 ... His 16-strikeout performance earned him national pitcher of the week honors from Louisville Slugger, TheCollegeBaseballBlog.com, CollegeBaseball360.com , College Baseball Foundation and Diamond Sport's and CollegeBaseballInsider.com in addition to being named BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week ... Did not allow more than three earned runs in any of his 14 starts ...  His 2.40 earned run average is the sixth lowest ERA by a pitcher in USF history... ERA was also the best in the BIG EAST... Of his 14 starts on the season, went 5.0 or more innings in 13 of those starts with the exception being 1.1 scoreless innings against St. John's due to a lower leg injury... Emerged as one of the conference's most prolific strikeout pitchers, fanning 95 batters in just 86.1 innings of work ...  Struck out 10 or more batters on four separate occasions with 10 vs. Michigan (2/28), 16 at Cincinnati (4/2), 11 vs. Georgetown (4/10) and 10 against Villanova (5/1) ... Suffered his lone loss against a BIG EAST opponent, despite allowing just two runs and six hits, after pitching 7.0 innings at Rutgers ... Averaged just fewer than 10 strikeouts per nine innings pitched... Showcased impeccable command of the strike zone, walking just 22 batters on the season...In BIG EAST play, went 6-1 with a 1.66 earned run average... Held opposing batters to a .218 batting average ...  In eight conference starts, allowed just nine earned runs over 48.2 innings of work... Kept the Bulls from elimination by going seven strong innings and striking out eight in the second round of the BIG EAST tournament.

Fall 2009:
Joined the USF baseball program after playing two seasons at South Florida CC ...  Came to USF as a student and in summer of 2009 met with coaches and decided to walk-on.

Junior College (South Florida CC):
Played two years under Rick Hitt ...  Showed flashes of brilliance throughout his two years while battling through injury ...  Was named a team all-star in both his freshman and sophomore year.

Draft history:
Was drafted in the MLB player Draft twice ... First in 2006 15th round (466 overall) by San Francisco ...  He was drafted a second time in 2007 by the San Francisco Giants in the 48th round, 1399 overall.

High School:
Named 2006 All Hillsborough county honorable mention ...  Was a high school teammate of Junior Carlin.
