2013 (Junior): As the Bulls' Saturday starter, Gonzalez was named Big East Pitcher of the week after pitching 7 shut-out innings in USF's 4-3 (10) win over Notre Dame in South Bend...Lead the team with 77 strikeouts on the season including a career high 10 in the Bulls' loss to FSU and again in their win over Alcorn State...Went a career-high eight innings allowing just one earned run on two hits in USF's 11-3 win over FAMU.
2012 (Sophomore): Much improved in his second season with the Bulls, Gonzalez started in just 2 of the 22 games in which he appeared leading all pitchers with 20 or more appearances with a 2.63 ERA. Gonzalez took part in three combined shut-outs, including a three inning outing against Connecticut to secure the series on May, 12th.
2011 (Freshman): Made his collegiate debut with a start at Florida (2/20) ... Limited the Gators to one run over three innings, scattering two hits and one strikeout, but would suffer the loss...Picked up his first career win by going six innings, collecting a season-high eight strikeouts and allowing zero runs and two hits against Florida A&M (3/5)...The freshman had three games where he wouldn't give up a single run in a total of nine innings ... Collected eight starts in his total of 13 appearances in which he would go 2-3 on the season.
Prep: Became the first Leto baseball player to sign a Division I offer in nearly a decade since Jon Uhl signed with USF in 2000... Became Leto's ace as a junior... Went 4-2 with a 1.98 ERA and 55 strikeouts in 42.1 innings last season as a junior ... All-Hillsborough County Honorable Mention... Played for the Ohio-based travel ball club Midland Braves ...
