TAMPA - Hard work helped USF make a huge jump in the right direction this year and the Bulls are making sure the progress doesn't stop.
A total of 10 Bulls, including star outfielder James Ramsay, will be playing in summer leagues just weeks after USF rattled off four straight wins to reach the Big East Championship game.
Leadoff man Alex Mendez and five other teammates will suit up for teams in the Florida Collegiate League. Buddy Putnam and Mike Carlson will be teammates once again in the Perfect Game Collegiate League, while Zac Gilcrease will be keeping his game in tune in the NYCBL.
Ramsay is USF's lone representative in the Northwoods League.
