2014 (Sophomore): First Team All-American Athletic Conference… Named to the American Athletic Conference Championship All-Tournament Team…Named American Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week on May 19 after shutting out Georgia Tech over seven innings of work including nine strikeouts…Led all starters in The American with a 1.26 ERA, the eighth best mark nationally…Didn’t allow an earned run in seven of his 15 starts this season…Had two complete games on the year, a 2-1 victory over No. 5 Louisville (May 23) in the conference tournament allowing just six hits while striking out six…Also tossed a CG vs. Memphis on April 25 allowing one run on seven hits while striking out seven in USF’s 3-1 victory…Picked up three wins vs. NCAA Tournament participants Georgia Tech, Liberty and Louisville…Made seven starts vs. NCAA Tournament participants posting a 1.24 ERA in 51 innings while registering 42 strikeouts…Participated in the Team USA Collegiate National Team Trials…Played with the Bourne Braves of the Cape Cod League.

2013 (Freshman):
 Was named Big East Pitcher of the Week after tossing a 3-hit, complete-game shutout for the Bulls in their 1-0 win over Pittsburgh. Herget held the Panthers, who were batting a Big-East leading .305 heading into the weekend,  to an impressive .107 b/avg, .143 slugging and .194 OB %, while fanning four and issuing just one walk in 32 batters faced (28 Abs). Did not allow a run in 25 innings pitched over four games…Went 23 innings pitched in conference play before allowing his first run…Allowed just six hits over his first three conference starts…In his first collegiate start, on the road against Florida State, Herget allowed just 2 earned runs in 4.1 innings pitched. Has a .96 WHIP on the season…Finished the season with the second lowest ERA in the Big East.
