Senior (2012-13): Finished spring with an impressive 15-9 singles record mostly as the Bulls' no. 1 player...In doubles play she went 14-7 playing along side Loreto Alonso Martinez...Started off the fall season ranked the 29th D-I female singles player in the nation by the ITA. She wrapped the fall with an impressive 9-6 record including an appearance in the elte Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championships playing five singles matches and four doubles matches in a four-day span reaching the third round of competiton. Her and partner Loreto Alonso-Martinez began the fall as the 24th ranked pair in the nation. They completed the season with a misleading 5-7 record, with wins over pairs from in-state rivals FSU and UCF.

Junior (2011-12) - Holding down the Bulls No. 1 spot for much of the spring season, she went 13-6 in singles competition. Her impressive season lead to an NCAA at large bid.  Her and partner Loreto Alonso-Martine has a team best 12-5 doubles record. Her efforts earned her a spot on the All BIG EAST team for the second straight season. Compiled an impressive 9-3 singles record during the fall schedule...Earned a preseason ITA ranking of 70 on Sept. 9...Earned three wins over ranked opponents, including no. 25 ranked Anna Bartenstein from Miami at the UCF Invitational...Qualified to the Riviera Women's All-American Championships in October...In doubles, with her partner Loreto Alonso Martinez, compiled a 6-5 record during fall season. 

Sophomore (2010-11): Compiled an impressive 15-6 dual match record and 25-11 overall mark en route to All-BIG EAST honors ... played at the No. 2 position ... earned three wins over ranked opponents during the year ... earned wins that helped the Bulls to victories over ranked teams Illinois, Florida State, Notre Dame and Ohio State ... wrapped the season with a 16-13 doubles record after compiling a 9-7 dual match mark with Irene Rehberger.

Freshman (2009-10): Competed in her first year with the Bulls ... competed primarily in the No. 3 and the No. 4 singles positions ... finished the season with a 6-7 dual match record and a 15-10 overall record ... clinched the 4-3 win for the Bulls over Rice on April 2 with her 6-1, 4-6, 7-5 victory over Ana Guzman ... in the quarterfinals of the BIG EAST Championships, Vasenina helped the Bulls earn a 4-0 victory over Rutgers with her 6-2, 6-2 win over Katherine Arlak ... teamed up with senior Allyn Mueller in the No. 3 doubles position early in the season and together the duo went 1-4 in dual match competition.

Highschool/Juniors: Brought an impressive resume with her to USF, after playing tough competition throughout the European junior circuit ... finished fifth in the Europe/Africa Zone Group III round-robin pool in 2009.

Personal: Full name is Ecaterina Vasenina, however, she prefers Katie ... hails from the Republic of Moldova ... spent time living in Spain and Australia ... currently working on her master's degree in global sustainability.
