Bulls Hang Tough Against Top 20 Foes

TAMPA - The Bulls are proving they can hang with some of the nation's top teams.

The No. 43 USF women's tennis team went 3-3 against singles opponents from No. 16 Michigan and took two of three doubles matches from No. 18 Ole Miss on Saturday at the Michigan Invitational.

Katie Vasenina, ranked No. 35 nationally in singles, improved to 2-0 this spring with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Michigan's Brooke Bolender. USF also got singles wins from Fanny Fracassi and Paula Montoya.

The combination of Fracassi and Montoya came through for USF in doubles along with Danielle Mills and Kayla Rizzolo.

The Bulls are back in action 8:30 a.m. Sunday with singles matches against Ole Miss before they face Michigan in doubles at 1 p.m. USF finishes up at the Michigan Invitational 11 a.m. Monday with singles matches against No. 20 Georgia Tech.
