TAMPA - Former Bulls volleyball star Michelle Collier is now in charge at Jacksonville University.

The Dolphins officially named USF's former two-time Conference USA Player of the Year their head volleyball coach Monday after Collier spent two seasons as an assistant at South Carolina.

"I am looking forward to working with a great group of girls and turning this program around, and winning some championships," Collier said in a Jacksonville release.

As a Bull, Collier still ranks fifth in NCAA Division I history in career kills with 2,729. She also is first in USF history with 1,747 digs. Collier made three trips to the NCAA Tournament with the Bulls and was Conference USA's Freshman of the Year in 1998.

Collier was inducted in the USF Hall of Fame in 2011. Read more about her career as a Bull from a feature USF's Jim Louk wrote late last year here.
