"The addition of Kore White will really bolster our front line and give us an experienced player who gave us a lot of problems playing against him at FAU the last two years," Heath said. "At 6-8, 240, he's capable of playing inside and out, plus with three years of Division I college experience under his belt, we expect him to have a great year and be an impact player for us."
White saw action in 61 career games as an Owl, averaging 8.0 points and 4.8 rebounds over the course of two seasons. In 2011-12, the Fort Lauderdale, Fla., native averaged a team-best 4.5 rebounds and scored 7.7 points per game while adding 38 blocks on the year. In two games against the Bulls, White averaged 9.0 points and 5.0 rebounds. In addition, White played a year at Marshall (2008-09) before transferring to the FAU program.
White joins an already solid USF recruiting class, which was ranked 12th by HoopScoop, for next season and includes 2012 JUCO First Team All-American Waverly Austin, four-star shooting guard Javontae Hawkins, 6-5 shooting guard JUCO transfer Musa Abdul-Aleem and 6-7 forward Zach LeDay.
