TAMPA - A productive veteran and a rising star are USF's representatives on the All-Big East men's tennis team.
Senior Wael Kilani and sophomore Federico Sabogal both made the conference's postseason squad after shining in singles and teaming up to become an effective doubles duo that earn seven victories this spring.
Kilani, a two-time All-Big East selection, went 13-8 in singles play this spring with two victories coming in the Big East Championships that helped the Bulls post a runner-up finish last weekend in Tampa.
"He's been a very good player for our school the four years he's been here," said head coach Don Barr of Kilani, who went 7-4 in singles this fall. "He really did a tremendous job finishing out his senior year."
Sabogal battled an illness at the beginning of the season and bounced back in the spring to go 11-9 in singles play.
"He worked really hard and finished really strong. I'm really proud of him," Barr said.
