BullsVision: Bulls Unveils Uniform Alterations

USF Senior Writer

TAMPA - It turns out USF football fans can be some pretty good fashion critics, too.

USF unveiled its new Under Armour uniforms and helmets at Saturday's Fan Fest, which drew a very warm reception and a couple of loud cheers from onlookers.

"I think they look great," said Brian Kennedy, 31, of Tampa. "I think they mixed the colors a lot more frequently and a lot better than in previous years."

USF's white and green jerseys offer sleek color trims while the helmets now feature green and gold strips.

"I like how the white jersey is not just pure white anymore and the green is intertwined as well," Kennedy added. " I like how the white helmets now have stripping and color around the green U."

Green drew the loudest cheer from the crowd when USF showed off its new green helmet that can be used along with the Bulls' white and gold options.

"I do like the green helmet, it's awesome," said Kathy Sawyer, 57, from Largo. Sawyer noted she's been a USF football fan since "Day 1" and attended the Bulls' first home game.

The future came to mind when Scott McDeed, 50, of Tampa looked at the new uniform offerings.

"I think it's a big recruiting tool to have young athletes come out and at least look at the diversity of uniforms," said McDeed, who noted players care a lot about how they look these days.
