Approximately 15 Bulls who participate in the Pen Pal Program promoted the importance of education and the FCAT to Washington Elementary's third, fourth and fifth grade students.
Following the pep rally, the elementary students played outside with their USF pen pals.
Throughout the year, nearly 40 USF student-athletes participate in writing monthly exchanges with fourth grade pen pals, a program in which the Bulls mentor, get to know, and encourage the young students about the importance of doing well in school.
