The Florida Bank Miles for Moffitt is in its sixth year of helping fight cancer with all registration fees and donations from the 5K, five mile, one mile and kids dash races benefiting cancer research at Moffitt Cancer Center.
"The Moffitt race is incredible and we are very fortunate to be able to volunteer and help such a great cause," said Dena Reif, assistant track and field coach at USF. "This was our team's third year to help and we provide about 60 volunteers who help with everything from set up on Friday to working the finish line and clean up on Saturday."
Located in Tampa, Fla., Moffitt Cancer Center is an NCI Comprehensive Cancer Center - a designation that recognizes Moffitt's excellence in research and contributions to clinical trials, prevention and cancer control. Moffitt marks a very important anniversary this year - 25 years committed to one mission: to contribute to the prevention and cure of cancer.
