Former baseball and softball student-athletes came back to Tampa to not only visit with old friends and teammates, but to celebrate the programs they helped build. The reunion kicked off on a sunny Saturday afternoon with 30 softball alumni throwing out first pitches prior to the second game of USF's doubleheader versus Villanova. Kelly Aguilar '95 and Leigh Ellis-Geneti '04 traveled in from out of state to see their former teammates, check out the new facilities, and reminisce with their former coach Kenny Eriksen.

On the Baseball side, as many as 35 baseball alumni returned to campus and were recognized prior the baseball team's game against Villanova. Don Ellison, pitcher, class of 1975 threw out the first pitch to his formercatcher Jeff Davis '73. Ellison was the first USF baseball player to play professionally. After his playing days, Davis would go onto coach and serve as the interim Athletics Director at USF.

Also in attendance was Otis Dixon, who not only played baseball for the Bulls from 1998-1999, but was also a member of the university's football program.

A warm thank you goes out to Dr. Jay Garcia '68, Leigh Ellis- Geneti and Jeff Davis for lending their USF experiences to the tape recorder and further capturing our history.
