Bulls Finish 13th at St. Mary’s Women’s Regatta
TAMPA, MARCH 20, 2017 – The University of South Florida sailing team placed 13th at the St. Mary’s Women’s Regatta over the weekend in St. Mary’s City, Md.
There was not much separation between the two teams in front of the Bulls, as they were just two points outside of 11th.
Boston College took home first place, followed by College of Charleston, Brown, Hobart and Yale. Connecticut College, Georgetown, University of Rhode Island, Tufts University and St. Mary’s College rounded out the top-10. George Washington University and Wisconsin finished 11 and 12, respectively, just ahead of USF.
· In the B division, junior Sarah Streater (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) and classmate Mandi Dickie (Minneapolis) were just one point outside of second, finishing third. The tandem claimed victory in one of the 13 races.
· Conditions were frigid with snow flurries in the area for much of Sunday.
The Bulls return to the College of Charleston for the third time this spring for the SAISA Women's Spring Championship, which is the qualifier for nationals.
