TAMPA -Familiar suspects got the University of South Florida (4-1-0) back on track as juniors Chelsea Klotz and Noelle Pineiro both scored twice leading the Bulls to a 4-0 win over Stetson Sunday afternoon at the USF Soccer Stadium.

Klotz, who now has seven goals on the season, took a feed from junior captain Valorie O'Brien which gave the Bulls a 1-0 first half lead just before the 15 minute mark after a number of near misses with multiple shots hitting the post.
From there the Bulls possessed the ball almost exclusively, spearheaded by outstanding defense and opportunistic Bulls attack that peppered the Stetson goal with six shots on goal in the first half alone.

The Bulls backline limited the Hatters to just three shots on the match. In fact, the Hatters did not register a shot until the 57:30 mark in the match. All of the Hatters shots came in the second half, with just one on goal.

USF would nurse a 1-0 lead until Stetson was called for a hand ball inside the 18-yard box giving the Bulls a penalty kick at the 59 minute. Klotz buried the kick to extend the Bulls lead, 2-0.

Pineiro tacked on her second and third goals of the season in the 73rd and 82nd minutes. The first was off a free kick from 25-yards out and the second came on break away with assists going to Rehana Murani and Lindsay Krakower.

Starter Nicole McClure and senior Diaz combined for the shutout. McClure did not face a shot on goal in just over 76 minutes of action. Diaz stopped the Hatters lone attempt on net to preserve the shutout.

For the match, USF tallied 24 shots with 14 of them being on goal.

Following this today's  contest, the Bulls will hit the road for the final time in the non-conference portion of their schedule and pay a visit to Jacksonville University on Sept. 10 and then begin a three-game home stand starting on Sept. 12 against Harvard, who qualified for the NCAA tournament a year ago.
