TAMPA, APRIL 17, 2017 – Take a look ahead at the week in USF Athletics and catch up on last week’s action:

Football

Last Week: Marquez Valdes-Scantling caught seven passes for 123 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Green team to a comeback win in the spring game at Corbett Stadium on April 15. Check out the recap and photo gallery HERE.

Need to Know: Season tickets are now available for purchase. Flex plan packages and group ticket sales will begin on Monday, May 15. Athletics

Last Week: USF Athletics and the USF Foundation were proud to announce a $1 million gift from the family of Lenda and Vince Naimoli that will support Athletics facility additions and enhancement projects. Learn more HERE.

Baseball (29-7, 5-4)

This Week: The Bulls begin a four-game road trip at North Florida on Wednesday at 6 p.m. … USF then heads to Tennessee for a three-game conference series at Memphis that begins Friday at 7:30 p.m. Saturday’s action starts at 3 p.m. and Sunday’s series finale is set for 2 p.m.

Last Week: USF launched a season-high four homers to defeat Cincinnati, 4-2, on April 15. The Bearcats posted a 9-3 win in the first game of the series on April 13 and defeated the Bulls, 3-2, in 10 innings on April 14… USF started the week with an 8-6 victory at Stetson on April 11.

Need to Know: USF’s next home game against Stetson is set for Wednesday, April 26 at 6:30 p.m. Reserve your seats at USFBullsTix.com.

Softball (26-21, 5-6)

This Week: USF is back at home to host a three-game series against Memphis that begins Friday at 6:30 p.m. Saturday’s game is set for 6:30 p.m. and Sunday’s series final begins at 1 p.m. Reserve your seats at USFBullsTix.com.

Last Week: USF started the week with a 5-2 win at Jacksonville on April 12 that extended the Bulls’ winning streak to four games… USF bounced back from a 2-0 loss to UCF on April 13 with a 7-2 victory on April 14. UCF took the War on I-4 rivalry series with a 5-4, nine-inning win on April 15 in Orlando.

Need to Know: Head coach Ken Eriksen announced the signing of Madison Epperson to a National Letter of Intent. Epperson will join Miriam Schmoll, Kyndall Williams, Jasmine Haynes and Georgina Corrick as freshman for the 2018 season. Learn more HERE.

Women’s Basketball

This Week: USF checked in at No. 20 on ESPN’s Way-Too-Early Top 25 rankings for 2017-18. Check out Charlie Creme’s article HERE.

Last Week: After a return trip to the NCAA tournament for the third straight season and the fourth in five years, USF Director of Athletics Mark Harlan solidified the continued leadership of the program with a contract extension that will keep head coach Jose Fernandez at the helm through 2023. Men’s Basketball

Men’s Tennis (13-8)

This Week: USF finishes up the regular season with a home match against Memphis on Monday at 1 p.m. Admission is free at the USF Varsity Courts… USF then heads to Lake Nona, Fla., for the American Athletic Conference Championship that takes place Thursday through Sunday. Last Week: USF dropped a 4-0 decision against No. 9 TCU in Fort Worth, Texas on April 10.

Women’s Tennis (11-10)

This Week: USF will chase after a league title at the American Athletic Championship that takes place Wednesday through Saturday in Lake Nona, Fla. Get the full schedule and more at the conference’s championship central page HERE.

This Week: USF shoots for a three-peat at the three-day American Athletic Conference Championship that begins Sunday at Innisbrook Golf & Spa Resort in Palm Harbor, Fla.

Last Week: Freshman Kyle Flexsenhar tied for 13th place at 2-under to boost USF to a fourth-place finish at the Wolfpack Spring Open on April 15. Check out the recap HERE.
