PALM COAST, Fla., APRIL 17, 2017 – Senior Taylor Moody’s career day highlighted USF’s second round at the American Athletic Conference Championship.
Moody produced her best round as a Bull by carding an even-par 72 that included four birdies at Hammock Beach Resort’s Conservatory Course. Moody (Plantation, Fla.) moved up 11 spots to a tie for 13th place with Ashley Burke at 4-over.
Burke, a senior from Boynton Beach, Fla., opened the tournament with a 70 and has a team-leading eight birdies after collecting four more Monday. Moody and Burke are both just three shots away from the top 10.
Nicole Autrique (Mexico City) cut four shots off her first-round score with a 73 that moved the senior up to a tie for 26th place with Maria Rodriguez at 6-over. Rodriguez (Cali, Colombia) followed up her opening-round 73 with a 77.
USF (+20) moved down two positions to eighth place. Houston (-4) has the team lead and is followed in the top five by No. 28 UCF (-3), SMU (+4), Cincinnati (+11) and East Carolina (+12). Houston’s Leonie Harm (-8) will take a four-shot lead into the final round.

- Nicole Autrique leads the Bulls with 26 pars and has shot par or better on 28 holes so far.
