Coach Hargreaves on Brockhaus-Kann:

“Was really consistent in the spring. Needs to get our operation time down and start punting it the way he’s really capable of doing. Has a big leg and a ton of upside. We just need to get him rolling and let his natural abilities take over.”

2010 Spring: Came in at No. 1 punter in the post-spring depth chart.

2009:  Worked in a reserve role as a regular member of the travel squad.

2008: Utilized redshirt season.

WINTER SPRING HIGH SCHOOL:  Considered one of the top punters in the state...  Named 6A first team all-state, all-county as a tight end and punter, as well as all-conference ... Was a Central Florida all star... Was also a One-on-One National Punting Champion ...  Averaged 46 yards a punt, and 4.6 seconds of hang time ...  Booted a 62-yard punt that had a hang time of 5.1 seconds in the Winter Springs All-Star game ...  Started at four positions throughout high school (kicker, punter, offensive line and tight end) ...  Coached by Mike Kintz.

PERSONAL:  Born August 23, 1990...  Son of Jeff and Katherine Brockhaus and Margaret and Duane Kann ...  Father is Jeff Brockhaus, a former professional kicker for the San Francisco 49ers, as well as USFL organizations Jacksonville Bulls and Orlando Limited ...  Father was teammates with USF head coach Jim Leavitt at the University of Missouri and still holds the MU record for longest punt, which was an 82-yarder against Kansas State on October 25, 1980 … Last name is pronounced Brock-house-con ...  Major is undecided.
