2009: Named to BIG EAST All-Freshman Team by ESPN.com … As a redshirt-freshman, took over for BIG EAST record holder Matt Grothe midway through the Charleston Southern game and never looked back … Led team with 772 rushing yards and nine rushing touchdowns, with his rushing total standing as the fifth-best mark ever and the second-most by a QB … Only quarterback in USF history with four 100-yard rushing games in one season (Charleston Southern, Florida State, West Virginia and Louisville) … Only player in USF and BIG EAST history to rush for 100 yards and pass for 300 yards in a single game, which he accomplished against Louisville…Was the 28th player in FBS history to complete this feat. … Had his best passing day of the season against the Cardinals with 304 yards, rushing for an additional season-high 141 … Outgained Louisville as a team, which had 313 yards on the day. … His 445 yards of total offense stands as the second-best single-game mark in USF history … Averaged 6.9 yards per play on total offense … Threw for 14 touchdown passes and had nine interceptions … Completed 122 passes for 1,983 yards ….
