DiMarco Named American Men’s Golf Player of the Month

TAMPA, OCT. 2, 2017 – USF's Cristian DiMarco has been named American Athletic Conference Men's Golf Player of the Month for October following his first collegiate title win.

19927In USF's first event of the fall, DiMarco sank a birdie putt on the final hole from 12-14 yards out to post a one-shot victory at the Jim Rivers Intercollegiate in Choudrant, La., on Sept. 19. The senior from Longwood, Fla., helped USF post a 13-shot team win by carding under-par rounds of 70, 69 and 69 to finish at 8-under.

DiMarco was an all-conference selection last spring and the title victory brought his top-10 performance total up to five in two-plus seasons with the program.

DiMarco is currently contending for another title at the Marquette Intercollegiate at Erin Hills, which concludes Tuesday. Follow the action at the official Golfstat.com scoring page HERE.
