WEST BLOOMFIELD HS: A dynamic pass rusher that played linebacker and defensive end in high school…projected as a defensive end at USF…had 20 scholarship offers, including from five Big Ten programs and three SEC programs…recruited by defensive coordinator Bob Shoop and defensive line coach Da’Quan Bowers..rated a four-star recruit by ESPN and as the No. 7 recruit in Michigan…a four-star recruit by On3 with an 89.0 rating…a three-star recruit by Rivals and 247Sports…rated at .8891 by 247Sports…ranked as the No. 37 linebacker nationally and No. 6 player in the state of Michigan by 247Sports…set West Bloomfield’s season sack record with 23.5 as a senior… his sack total as a senior was the highest in the state in 16 years and ranks among the top five all-time, single-season sack totals in the state of Michigan, just 2.5 off the state record set in 1977…a first-team All-State selection…Detroit Free Press All-North First Team…helped team to a 10-2 record and the regional championship… missed the first nine games of his junior season with a torn ACL, a season in which his team went on to win a state championship…a team captain that also punted…chose USF over offers from Arizona State, Cincinnati, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Ole Miss, Purdue, Syracuse, Tennessee, West Virginia and others.
