USF Football's Mudia Reuben Named to Allstate Good Works Team and a Wuerffel Trophy Semifinalist

Graduate wide receiver developed project to build water wells in Nigeria
TAMPA, FLA. (Sept. 15, 2026) โ South Florida graduate wide receiver Mudia Reuben has been named to the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team โ one of just 11 FBS football players to be named to the team โ and a semifinalist for the Wuerffel Trophy, the premier major college football award emphasizing community service.
Reuben is the first South Florida Football player to be named to the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team, which annually recognizes 22 members fromย FBS and FCS level college football teams for their outstanding community service contributions.
Reuben's outstanding contributions include the development and funding of a project to build water wells for Nigerian communities in need of access to water. Reuben, a first generation American whose family is from Nigeria, has built six such wells to date, often reducing a daily journey to source water from as much as a four-mile trip to just steps.
Reuben graduated from Stanford in three years with a degree in life and health science and is pursuing a master's degree in pharmaceutical nanotechnology โ biomedical engineering.
He is one of two returning offensive starters for the Bulls. He finished third on the team with 495 receiving yards and fourth with 26 receptions in 2025, while collecting five touchdown catches. Reuben surged in the last three games of the regular season, collecting 14 receptions for 325 yards and four touchdowns over the span, including a season-best five receptions for 174 yards and touchdowns of 60 and 59 yards in a win at UAB.

In 2025, the Bulls went 9-4, earned a third straight bowl appearance, made the program's first College Football Playoff ranking appearance, and were ranked four times in the weekly Associated Press Top 25 poll. South Florida completed construction on a new $22-million Indoor Performance Facility in 2023, and construction is in progress on $349-million on-campus stadium and football operations center broke slated for completion by 2027.

The Bulls have posted 18 winning seasons, earned 16 All-America selections (including two consensus selections, the last coming in 2021), and 35 first-team all-conference honorees. South Florida has had 30 players selected in the NFL Draft, while the Bulls have made 13 bowl game appearances (going 8-5), tied for the third-most nationally in the first 25 seasons of a program's bowl eligibility. South Florida posted back-to-back 10-win seasons in 2016 and 2017, logging a program-record 11-2 mark in 2016, while finishing both seasons ranked in the Top 25. The Bulls spent a program-record 20 straight weeks ranked in the Top 25 during the 2016 and 2017 campaigns and reached as high as No. 2 in the AP rankings during the 2007 season.
