Men's Soccer Hosts UConn for Soctoberfest

PROMOTION: Soctoberfest | first 300 fans receive lederhosen t-shirts
TAMPA, OCT. 12, 2017 – The University of South Florida men's soccer team returns to Corbett Stadium Friday night and hosts UConn in a battle of the unbeaten. The Bulls and Huskies sit atop the American Athletic Conference standings and will play at 8 p.m. as a part of Soctoberfest 2017.
In USF's first annual Soctoberfest, fans will be treated to a $10 concession deal which includes a German brat, chips and two beverage samples. There will be six German beverages available to purchase or sample for $1. The first 300 fans to arrive will receive a free lederhosen t-shirt.

USF (6-3-1, 3-0 The American) remain perfect in The American after a 3-2 victory over defending conference champions, Tulsa, last Saturday. The Bulls look to remain perfect at home.
Notables
- The Bulls outscored their opponents 18-6 in their last six matches and are averaging 3.0 goals per game.
- USF has not lost a regular season conference match since Oct. 1, 2016 at Cincinnati. The Bulls have not lost a regular season conference match at Corbett Stadium since Nov. 1, 2014, a 1-0 loss to UConn.
On Dec. 18 Bob Butehorn was appointed the head coach the USF men's soccer program. A member of the University of Tampa's 1981 national championship team and a three-time conference coach of the year, Butehorn previously led Florida Gulf Coast University's men's soccer program to six conference regular season championships, four NCAA Tournament appearances and Top 25 rankings in five seasons since 2010.
The Bulls concluded the season as The American regular season champions and advanced to the NCAA Tournament. The Bulls finished the season with a 10-6-4 overall record and a 6-1-0 mark in the American Athletic Conference.
